e&i magazine, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (Austrian Electrotehnical Association´s trade magazine,
published by Springer Verlag). This Special Edition is a collection of all significant publications that were released in
different e&i magazines over the last few years.

For the first time, the Standards
IRIS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 were jointly monitored and evaluated by Quality Austria in the course of a Surveillance
Audit at Traktionssysteme Austria. The company´s Integrated Management System received a very good rating in general.

TSA will again attend the „5th International E-Bus Conference”. The event will be held between May 31 and June 1 at
the CityCube in Berlin, Germany.

As of now,
the company Mantena AS from Oslo (NO) will take over the handling of service, maintenance and spare parts for TSA in Norway.
Mantena is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the NSB Group (Norges Statsbaner/Norwegian State Railways). The Norwegian market is
growing strongly and the number of TSA´s products used in Norway is increasing constantly: the operating NSB FLIRT fleet is
expanding steadily, Variobahn low-floor trams by Stadler are driving through the city of Bergen, and CAF (Spain) will supply
type Oaris vehicles to the operator Flytoget (Airport Express Train in Oslo) – also with TSA motors.

vehicle manufacturer Hyunday Rotem selected TSA as the supplier of the traction motors for the new 100% low-floor trams in
Izmir and Antalya (Turkey). The vehicles are manufactured locally in Adapazari by Eurotem, a joint enterprise between Hyunday
Rotem and the Turkish company Tüvasa?. The first vehicles are about to be delivered soon.

Potentials“ is Traktionssysteme Austria´s corporate motto for 2016. In this spirit, TSA – under the direction of Prof. Harald
Neudorfer (Head of Engineering Dept. at Traktionssysteme Austria) – was involved in the editorial and textual design for issue
2.2016 of the e&i magazine (Austrian Electrotechnical Association´s trade magazine).
In his preface, Prof. Neudorfer
correctly points out that the opinion that ‘there is no further major development in the area of electrical machines‘ which
was prevailing many years ago, was not true.
